(Inside front cover. We see the place divided into six columns. In the first one, we see the

the blurbs for Generation X. In the Fourth one, we see the blurbs for Emplate's army. In the
fifth one we see the blurbs for the Army, and lastly, we see the blurbs about Locus, Reinfire,
and the MLF. Page 1, panel 1. The Army headquarters, a place unknown. We see Timelasher and
Emplate sitting opposite each other at a table.)
Cap (N1): The Army headquarters, a place that is top secret.
Cap (N2): Right now, Emplate and Timelasher await the arrival of the third leader to make this
set complete.
Emplate: This had better be worth my time, Timelasher.
Timelasher: If it works out, this will be worth all of our times.
(Panel 2. Locus and Reinfire teleport in.)
Reinfire: All right, we're here, Frenchman. What is this big deal you've got?
(Panel 3. Locus and Reinfire sit down next to Emplate as Timelasher stands.)
Timelasher: Mes amis, we all have a problem on our hands. A big problem. A problem that can be
summed up in one letter. . .X.
(Panel 4. Timelasher continues to talk.)
Timelasher: Despite everything we do, the teams still exist. To get rid of them once and for
all, we must band together.
Reinfire: An alliance? With you? And him?
(Panel 5. Timelasher faces Reinfire.)
Timelasher: Oui. Hear me out, this can work. We must band together, isolate the mutant teams,
and then attack them. One by one, they fall.
(Panel 6. Emplate is serious.)
Emplate: How do we know that you won't betray us?
Timelasher: We have to trust each other for it to work. If we can destroy one team, the others
will fall.
(Page 2, panel 1. Timelasher turns to a chart.)
Timelasher: We start with Team X, then move to X-Force, then to Generation X.
Reinfire: Why not X-Force first?
(Panel 2. Timelasher turns back to Reinfire.)
Timelasher: Because the most dangerous team member is in Team X, mon ami. If we do not take
Lotus out first, she will ruin everything.
Emplate: How is she more dangerous than the others?
(Panel 3. Timelasher faces Emplate.)
Timelasher: Trust me, mon ami. She will sense if the others are in trouble.
Reinfire: Then we go after X-Force and Generation X.
(Panel 4. Timelasher smiles.)
Timelasher: Precisimon, Reinfire. So, are we all in?
(Panel 5. Emplate is serious.)
Emplate: I have waited too long for revenge against my sisters. . . now, I will have it.
(Panel 6. Reinfire smiles.)
Reinfire: I'm in, and they will be out!
(Page 3, panel 1. Team X headquarters, Fort Worth, Texas. We see Lotus, Eagle, Starshot,
Blacklyte, Sonnos, and Spyre lying on the sun deck. They are in bikinis for women and
swimtrunks for men.)
Cap (N1): Meanwhile, at Team X headquarters, Fort Worth, Texas,
Cap (N2): Team X gets a well deserved break after their encounter with crime.
Cap (N3): They are breaking in their new member, Blacklyte. . .
Lotus: Well, I hope everyone is comfortable.
(Panel 2. Starshot smiles slightly)
Starshot (1): Well, it's nice, Lecita. . .
Starshot (2): If nothing else, showing us in skimpy clothing will boost sales.
Blacklyte: Sara, might I rub some sunscreen on you? I don't want to see you get a sunburn.
(Panel 3. Starshot faces Blacklyte.)
Starshot: Aye - just be careful where ye put those hands.
Blacklyte: Am I not always?
(Panel 4. Starshot grimaces at Blacklyte)
Starshot: Actually, -
Blacklyte: On second thought, don't answer that.
(Panel 5. Starshot lies face down as Blacklyte puts sunscreen on her back.)
Blacklyte: But you're right about one thing - showing us in skimpy clothing should boost sales.
Lotus: Yea. . . profit$ over people.
(Page 4, panel 1. Enter Mindpath and Odora. They also wear swimsuits.)
Mindpath: I hope we're not too late.
Lotus: Come on in, we're just relaxing, Simon.
(Panel 2. Mindpath and Odora lay down next to each other.)
Lotus: In all this fighting and getting beaten on, it's nice to get away from it once in awhile.
Blacklyte: You said it. I hope we have more times like this.
(Panel 3. Starshot sits up.)
Starshot: Johnny, aren't you done yet?
Blacklyte: Well, yea, but I'd still like to touch you, Sara.
(Panel 4. Starshot turns over. Blacklyte takes his hands off her.)
Starshot: I think that's enough of that, Johnny.
Blacklyte (1): Oh, come on, Sara. I can't help it if you're beautiful.
Blacklyte (2): My babe radar overloads every time you're near me.
(Panel 5. Suddenly a portal opens up.)
Lotus: This doesn't look good, guys. I hope you're wearing unstable molecular clothing.
(Panel 6. Lotus emits a spirit flash on her fellow members of Team X as Emplate, his acolytes,
the Army, and Reinfire & Locus II enter.)
Cap (N1): It will be for a tough time ahead.
Cap (N2): Lotus activates the unstable molecules in their clothing, changing it to their
uniforms.
Cap (N3): That may not be enough to save them from this problem, however.
(Page 5, panel 1. We see Team X now in their uniforms. Everyone else surrounds them.)
Timelasher: You, mes amis, will die!!
Lotus: Well, outnumbered at least two to one. . . I guess that means we got to take you down
two at a time then.
(Panel 2. the Army, Emplate and his acolytes, and Reinfire (hereafter referred to as the
Alliance) Attack Team X.)
Timelasher: DIE!!!
Lotus (1): No thanks,
Lotus (2): I don't want to be one of those characters that dies and then comes back again.
Lotus (3): Jean Grey syndrome is too pervasive as it is.
(Panel 3. Timelasher fires a beam into the spirit formed Lotus. The beam passes through her.)
Lotus: Not even close, Pete.
(Panel 4. Ruffian and Walking Eagle trade blows.)
SFX: WHAM! POW!
(Panel 5. Blacklyte opens a darkforce portal, and Sonnos sonicly pushes Reinfire into it.)|
Blacklyte: We'll deal with you later.
Reinfire: HEY!
(Panel 6. Bullwark strikes Starshot, sending her down.)
Bullwark: Die, fraulein!
(Page 6, panel 1. Sonnos is struck from behind by Cordoba, who is in a Sauron-like form.)
Cordoba: Muerta, chamaco!
SFX: POW!
Sonnos: UHN!
(Panel 2. Mindpath gets double-teamed by Murmur II and Positron. Murmur holds Mindpath down
while Positron radiates Mindpath.)
Positron: Let's a see you die slow, Irishman.
(Panel 3. Murmur II lets go of Mindpath, who falls to his knees.)
Mindpath: UHN!!
1(Panel 4. We see most of the members of Team X hurting, except for Lotus.)
Timelasher: Turn solid!
Lotus: Right, like I'm going to let you hurt me.
(Panel 5. Ruffian and Bullwark hold up Walking Eagle.)
Ruffian: Surrender, female. . . or the Indian gets it.
Lotus: Walking Eagle!
(Panel 6. Lotus turns solid, then Locus II strikes her hard from behind.)
Locus II: I've been waiting 45 years to do this.
SFX: WHAM!!
(Page 7, panel 1. Go over to X-Force. We see them sitting in their 1959 El Dorado, at a stop
light. The light is red.)
Cap (N1): Meanwhile, several hundred miles away, in the town of Far Wells, Texas,
Cap (N2): The town's only stoplight is experiencing problems.
Cap (N3): They are collectively known as X-Force.)
Meltdown: Come on! This light has been red forever!
Siryn: Calm down, Tabitha.
(Panel 2. The light turns green, and they go off.)
Siryn: See? It's all in your head.
(Panel 3. suddenly a portal opens up ahead of them. Meltdown tries to get around it.)
Meltdown: And I suppose that's in my head too?
(Panel 4. The car fishtails into the portal, and X-Force goes down into it.)
Warpath: Hang on, everyone!!!
(Panel 5. Sunspot and Siryn jump out of the car, attempting to slow its descent.)
Sunspot: Don't worry, we've got it!
(Panel 6. They land on the front lawn of Team X headquarters, Fort Worth.)
Meltdown: That was close. Who would do this?
Moonstar: Someone we all know and despise. . .
(Page 8, panel 1. They turn to see Locus II there, with Reinfire.)
Moonstar: Locus!
Locus: Guilty as charged. Well, are you going to surrender, or do we do this the hard way?
(Panel 2. Warpath stands.)
Warpath: Surrender? What for?
Locus: Take a look around, Pridemoon, our new friends have you surrounded.
(Panel 3. They look to see the members of the Army and Emplate's acolytes around them.)
Moonstar (1): The Army!
Timelasher: Well, if it isn't that S.H.I.E.L.D. agent who tried to bring us in. Moonflower,
was it?
Moonstar (2): Moonstar.
Moonstar (3): Guys, we are in very deep trouble.
(Panel 4. X-Force stands back to back with each other.)
Warpath: I don't suppose you'd like to enlighten us?
Moonstar: Let's just say it nearly cost me my career with S.H.I.E.L.D. They massacred about
30 agents, of which only two survived. I was one of them.
(Panel 5. Timelasher approaches Moonstar.)
Timelasher: Well, if there's one thing I hate, it's a loose end.
(Page 9, panel 1. The alliance attacks X-Force. We see Reinfire strike Siryn down with a blast.
Both are in the air, flying.)
SFX: POW!
(Panel 2. Moonstar manages to shoot Emplate with an arrow as she is struck by Chainsaw.
Chainsaw hits her in the leg, drawing blood.)
SFX (1): RRRR!
SFX (2): GREEHWE!!!
Moonstar: AAAHH!!
(Panel 3. Emplate sees his sisters.)
Emplate: M. . . Monet? Nicole? Claudette?
Monet: Silly brother, you know you'll never be able to defeat us.
(Panel 4. Bullwark and Ruffian strike Warpath, sending him into a wall.)
SFX: WHAM!!!
Ruffian: And stay down, injun!
(Panel 5. Smoke surrounds Meltdown with smoke as Meltdown fires explosive balls in rapid
fashion.)
Smoke: You can't hit what you can't see.
Meltdown: HORKT!
(Panel 6. Meltdown chokes, then Smoke knocks her out.)
SFX: WHAM!
Smoke: Go down already.
(Page 10, panel 1. We see the members of X-Force down.)
Reinfire: Two down, Timelasher: And one to go.
Emplate: The best is always last. We need to bring the Irishgirl along.
(Panel 2. Ruffian picks up Siryn.)
Ruffian: Well, we're going to give you a family reunion, Irish female.
(Panel 3. Go to Generation X headquarters, specifically the biodome. We see the members of
Generation X around each other, in a circle. They wear their uniforms.)
Cap (N1): At the same time. . .
Cap (N2): Generation X finishes their workout for the day.
(Panel 4. They talk to each other.)
Banshee: All right, laddies, ye did well, let's get read y f'r dinner now.
SFX: Rustle! Rustle!
(Panel 5. The team turns to the sound.)
Jubilee: Like, what was that?
Banshee: I don't know, Jubilation, but we should check it out.
(Panel 6. They walk around the place.)
SFX (1): Rustle!
SFX (2): Rustle!
Jubilee: Those came from opposite directions.
Queen: We should split up into teams.
(Page 11, panel 1. We see Jubilee and M walking together.)
Cap (N): And after dividing into teams of two. . .
Jubilee: But, like why did you not want to go with me? Like, this is totally scary, o.k.?
M: Jubilee. . .
(Panel 2. M faces Jubilee, angry, and shouting.)
M: SHUT UP!!!!*
Cap (N): *Admit it - you've wanted to say this to her at one time or another, haven't you?
(Panel 3. Jubilee is offended.)
Jubilee: Ah! That is like so totally rude, Monet. You've been like the queen of rudeness ever
since you switched back with Penny.*
Cap (N): * Generation X #40, a.k.a. one of the biggest, most blatant disregard for continuity
ever in a Marvel comic.
(Panel 4. M flies into the air.)
M: Sacre bleu! You are impossible!
Jubilee: And you are so totally rude, o.k.?
(Panel 5. Jubilee literally runs into a tied up Sonnos, who hangs upside-down from a tree.)
SFX: WHUMP!
Jubilee: UHN!
(Panel 6. M lands next to Jubilee as they ook over Sonnos.)
M: Qui les?
Jubilee: I don't know. . . but he sure is a total hunk!
(Page 12, panel 1. M holds Sonnos as Jubilee uses her power to free him.)
SFX: PIP!
(Panel 2. They lay Sonnos on the ground. Jubilee checks on him.)
Jubilee: Well, he's like breathing and his heart's beating.
(Panel 3. M touches her badge.)
M: Everyone, we have found an unidentified Hispanic male about 15 or so. He was tied up and
hanging from a tree. Meet us at the entrance, we'll take him there.
Voice (from off panel): You are going nowhere, sister.
(Panel 4. M and Jubilee turn to face Emplate and Locus II there.)
Jubilee: Ohmigawd! It's that total dweeb brother of yours!
Locus: Hey, don't forget about me.
(Panel 5. Timelasher strikes M with a savate kick.)
SFX: WHAM!!
Jubilee: Ohmigawd! Timelasher!
(Panel 6. Timelasher fires a beam onto Jubilee.)
Timelasher: You and your friends are finished!
(Page 13, panels 1, 2, and 3. We see Jubilee turn from a teenager to her 20's in panel 1, her
40's in panel 2, and finally in her late 60's in panel 3.)
Jubilee: Uhn. . . you. . . dweeb . . .
(Panel 4. Emplate picks up M by her neck.)
Emplate: I've waited a long time for this, sister. . . you are going to die!
M: Zut alors!
(Panel 5. Jubilee fires on Emplate, doing no damage to him.)
Jubilee: Leave. . . her . . . alone . . .
SFX: pip.
(Panel 6. Locus strikes Jubilee, sending her down.)
Locus: You should have quit while you were ahead. . . or alive.
(Page 14, panel 1. Go over to Skin and Synch. They are near Artie and Leech's playhouse.)
Cap (N): Meanwhile. . .
(Panel 2. They come to Siryn, who is tied up and hanging upside-down.)
Skin: Santa Maria! That's Siryn!
(Panel 3. Suddenly Murmur II jumps in, striking Synch.)
SFX: POW!!
(Panel 4. Skin wraps up Murmur.)
Skin: That's not a nice thing to do, Gringo!
(Panel 5. Haloid strikes Skin with a bolt of electricity.)
SFX: CRACKLE!!
Skin: UHN!
(Panel 6. Skin lets go of Murmur as Synch stands.)
Synch: Murmur - and Haloid together!?
Haloid (1): Well, we couldn't get rid of you separately, so why not try together?
Haloid (2): There's safety in numbers, you know.
(Page 15, panel 1. Go over to Husk and Chamber. We see them near the entry way.)
Husk: I got a bad feeling about this.
(Panel 2. Suddenly Husk drops to her knees, and grabs her stomach.)
Husk: UHN!
Psi balloon (pointing to Chamber): Paige! What's wrong!?
(Panel 3. Enter Clarinda, who shoots flames at Chamber.)
Clarinda - She's been irradiated, courtesy of my new partner.
Psi balloon (Pointing to Chamber): Scarpers! Clarinda!
Voice (from off panel): Hey, donna forget about me.
(Panel 4. Positron enters.)
Psi balloon (Pointing to a wide-eyed Chamber): Positron! You're with her!?
(Panel 5. Chamber runs off.)
Psi balloon (pointing to Chamber): I'll be back, luv. Count on it!
Husk: Uhn. . .
Positron: You canna hide from us, Brit!
(Page 16, panel 1. Go over to the White Queen, Banshee, and Penance. They are in the middle
of the biodome.)
Queen: We've got to hurry, Sean. I sense a lot of trouble amongst our students.
Banshee: But ye still canna get a line on who's behind it, right?
(Panel 2. The White Queen faces Banshee.)
Queen: Someone's masking their signatures. I'd say we're dealing with a very powerful telepath
here.
Voice (from off panel): Oh, nice to have my talent appreciated for once.
(Panel 3. They turn to see Vomit Retchquist, D.O.A., Vincente, and Reinfire there.)
Banshee: Vomit Retchquist!
Queen: D.O.A.! You're together!
(Panel 4. Vomit induces pain in Banshee, making him grab his head.)
Vomit: Give the lady a prize. Namely death!
(Panel 5. D.O.A. fires a laser at the White Queen, who dives out of the way.)
D.O.A.: You can try to run, but you can't avoid that shot.
(Panel 6. The laser beam homes in on the White Queen.)
Queen: What in the --!?
Reinfire: The shot is keyed to your DNA, Frost. You can't avoid it.
(Page 17, panel 1. Penance strikes D.O.A., slashing him.)
SFX: SLASH!!
(Panel 2. Vincente turns into a mist, and surrounds Penance.)
Vincente: You should be a good girl and surrender.
(Panel 3. Vincente enters Penance's lungs, causing Penance to gasp. Panel 4. Penance
violently slashes at the air as she goes down.)
D.O.A.: And they all fall down.
(Panel 4. Go over to Chamber. We see him outside the biodome, rushing toward a comm panel.)
Cap (N): Meanwhile. . .
(Panel 5. We see Chamber activate an automatic distress call.)
SFX: Click.
Chamber's thoughts: (I hope that someone hears this.)
(Page 18, panel 1. Chamber is hit from behind with a sonic blast.)
SFX: EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!
Psi balloon (pointing to Chamber): Blimey!
(Panel 2. Ruffian picks up Chamber.)
Ruffian: That's all of them, boss.
Voice (from off panel): bring him here.
(Panel 3. Bullwark strikes the comm panel, breaking it and creating a lot of sparks.)
Bullwark: Do not leave any loose ends, mein freund.
(Panel 4. an area just outside the biodome. We see Team X, X-Force, and Generation X tied up,
and hanging upside-down. The Alliance stands around them.)
Cap (N1): And so. . .
Cap (N2): The bonds that bind them inhibit their powers.
Timelasher: Ah, this is tres beautiful, non?
Lotus: Where are we, Petey?
(Panel 5. Timelasher faces Lotus.)
Timelasher: Why, you are in the headquarters of Generation X, Letty. We've brought some of
your X friends here.
(Panel 6. Lotus is shocked.)
Lotus: Generation X headquarters. . .?
Eagle: Then these people are -
Emplate (interrupts): Generation X and X-Force, Turnhorn.
(Page 19, panel 1. Lotus is worried.)
Cap (N1): It's the one thing she's feared.
Cap (N2): Team X has been purposely kept away from the other X teams.
(Panel 2. Locus II approaches Lotus, and smiles.)
Locus: Well, this wasn't completely planned, but there's another benefit that I've found out
about, we know why you've never met before.
(Panel 3. The other teams are confused.)
Banshee: What are ye sayin' lass?
(Panel 4. Locus II faces Banshee.)
Locus: Well, it seems that Team X is one of your teams - under Xavier.
Emplate: A rather disgusting thought, I must add.
(Panel 5. They are still confused.)
Siryn: What are ye on abou'? We've nae heard of them before.
Locus: Ah, ye of little noticing.
(Panel 6. Timelasher gestures to Mindpath.)
Timelasher: Don't you recognize him, Cassidy?
Siryn (blanching): Mindpath!
(Page 20, panel 1. Emplate approaches the others.)
Emplate: And every member of Team X has a past similar to yours with O'Banion, Cassidy. That's
why you've been kept apart.
(Panel 2. Ruffian approaches Chamber.)
Ruffian: So even if they do come and defeat us, the resulting fight amongst you will tear the
teams apart.
(Panel 3. Timelasher smiles.)
Timelasher: Well, who to kill first, hm? Decisions, decisions.
(Panel 4. Reinfire smiles sinisterly)
Reinfire: It should be Roarke - we can torture her slowly in front of her father.
Timelasher: An excellent idea, mon ami.
(Page 21, full panel page. Suddenly Mondo emerges from the ground, knocking down several
members of the alliance.)
Mondo: Free at last!!
Timelasher: QUI!?
(Page 22, panel 1. Mondo looks the scene over.)
Mondo: Oh dear. . . have I come at a bad time?
Jubilee: Mondo! Like, set us free, o.k.!?
