(I loved those to.)
Summary: In the not too distant future of the not too distant future, normal
humans are into hating mutants more then ever, so Scott Summers has asked an
old friend along with a newer one to bring together a group of eight teens to

August 30- Westchester, New York
The computer's printer printed out a paper. "We got our first one!" A women's
voice called out. Jubilee turned her chair to face the younger man in the
room. "Her name is Suzanne Hicks and she lives in Cleveland, Ohio." She
looked over at the map on the far wall. "Okay, here's the deal, we'll slip
the kids."
The younger man nodded and spoke with an accent. "Sure, Jubs. Four boys and
four girls, that's what Scott wants right?"
The printer started again. A second later it was in her hands. "Yeah, Scott
said eight with level 3 or higher. Our second and it's a boy, Justin Smith
from...... Tulsa, Oklahoma. This should be done in half an hour, Patrick."
Patrick nodded as he took the map down. "I'll mark them."

Sept. 2nd- Cleveland,Ohio
She lay in her bed and watched the light of her lamp on the ceiling. They
were at the door, trying to get her to say she'd go to one of those camps
instead of that school. Trying to tell her a camp would be for her own good.
She had heard it all before. She moved a string of semicurly blonde hair away
from her blue-green eyes.
For the past three years her mutantself had slowly been coming out, and then
six months ago, it fully came. She had hidden it from them since that day,
when she had seen her naked body and had screamed. But, then her friends and
family had found out. She had never meant for them to.
A guy had come on to her at a party and she has punched him though a wall.
"Suzanne Hicks, you open this door right now!" Her father yelled.
Suzanne turned to face her door. "Just go away Dad!! Please just go away!"
There was a long pause and then she heard him walk away. She lay there for a
few minutes before she started to cry. "Please, someone help me." She
whispered.

Sept. 2nd Tulsa, Oklahoma
Justin Smith, better known as Matrix to his friends and family, looked
himself over in the mirror. "Oh, yes looking big, bold, and beautiful." He
flexed and then moved to his bed were he was packing.
Just a few weeks ago, he had gotten a call from a school on the East coast
for gifted teens. He hadn't known he applied. The guy on the phone had said
that they'd be there to get him the next day. His Mom and sisters were
already crying, his brothers were all asking for his room, and his Dad was
talking about how proud and happy he was that his oldest was gifted.
Matrix wasn't so sure he was all that happy about it. He, like so many others
was a mutant. If the school were to find out, they might kick him out then
the whole world would know, and not just his family. Or they could send him
to a camp. He had heard so many awful things about camps.
He closed a suitcase and started on another one. Silently hoping that he was
doing the right thing.

Sept. 2nd Boston, Mass.
The guy on the videogame cried out in pain as he died. The girl with the
straight black hair up to her chin (but only in the back.) grinned.
"I'm telling you, Max, that this game is to damn easy." She told the guy next
to her.
Max smiled. "Yeah, I've never seen anybody play like you do, Christmas."
Christmas shrugged it off and moved so someone else could play the game. "I
guess so."
They started walking through the rave they were at.
"You really staying gone this time??!" Max yelled over the music.
"Yeah! Foster Sucks, Freedom is totally WICKED!!!!" Christmas yelled back.
She pulled the leather backpack strap as they walked.
Max took out a cigarette and lit it. He put an arm around her shoulder. "My
place is always open for you." He whispered in her ear.
She groaned and removed his arm. "Man, we broke up last week. Besides I've
got eight guys asking me, no begging me to stay at their places. And three
girls. I said no to them."
They walked outside and Christmas looked up at the starless night sky. *I'll
never be home, will I?* She thought as she and Max got a cab and headed to
the next rave on their list.

Sept. 2nd New York City, New York
Randall Davis sat in his Mom's apartment. He laughed at the show on the tv.
as he took another bite of this candy bar. His little half-sister, Amy was
asleep next to him. Their Mom was out for the night, with her new boytoy.
Randall put his black sunglasses over his eyes better. Tomorrow he'd be
leaving to go to some gifted school. His Mom was happy about it; she was
getting rid of one of her kids, and a mutant.
He looked down at Amy. "I really hope you're nothing like me." He whispered to
her.

Sept. 2nd Roch, New York
Joyce Goldenberg sighed to herself as she went through the bills. The 31 year
old already had some gray hair and more on the way. She heard a noise and
watched as her 15 year old daughter's wheelchair floated out of the room. It
went into the hall and then finally into the bathroom. A second later, Faith
was rolling into the living room.
"Hi Mom." She said cheerfully.
Joyce smiled. "Hi honey. You done packing?"
Faith shook her head, causing her shoulder length brown hair to full on her
face. "No, I've been thinking maybe I shouldn't go. You can't afford it and I
know Dad can't either. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad the school choose me, but
it's so much money."
"We can afford it. Besides it's a chance of a lifetime. You're very lucky,
you must remember that."
"True, how many people can fly?" She giggled and so did Joyce.
For a little while the bills were forgotten.

Sept. 3rd (well 2nd in the U.S.) Plymouth, England
Rupert Rogers carefully took a book off his desk and placed it in his bag. He
stared at this clock; in just nine hours he'd be in America, at a school for
the gifted. He had promised to make his Mum and Dad proud of him. It was
mostly to make up for the fact that he was a mutant. He picked up his brush
and brushed his brown hair. Then he went to his closet and took out his best
Sunday outfit and put it on.
He wanted to make the Americans know he was just like them, even if he was a
freak of nature.

Sept. 3rd, (early morning) Los Angeles, California
Even though it was three in the morning, people were still on the streets.
That was always a great thing if you were trying to get their money. A girl
no more then maybe 13 or 14, with black hair up to her chin and light purple
in the bangs was one of them. She moved her gray eyes over the crowd, as she
moved three cards on a table.
"Watch the Queen, kids, watch her. Find her and you not only get your ten but
mine." She told them.
The people around the table tried to keep an eye on the queen, but the girl
moved them way to fast. A cop car could be heard coming down the street. The
girl started putting away the money on the table.
"Sorry, boys and girls, but I've got to jet." She took the cards and stuffed
them into her jean pocket.
The cops were almost there, so she started to run. *I think I need a little
help here.* It started to pour down rain. *Thank you.*

Sept. 3rd (early morning) Oakland, California
Auggie lay awake in his bedroom that he shared with his two brothers. He
fingered the cross his mother had given him. He could still hear his father's
words. "I'm sure Auggie will do us all proud. He'll show those kids a thing
or to." Then everyone had cheered and cheered. They had all stayed the whole
night and even given him some money and told him in whispers to hide what he
was, a mutant.
His whole family and a few close friends had been at the party. He really did
hope that he'd do them proud. And who knew, he might just show those kids a
thing or two."

Sept. 3rd Westchester, New York
Jubilee took the list and looked over it one more time. She would be getting
Faith Goldenberg, Randall Davis, Christmas Cross, and Rupert Rogers. Patrick
would get the other four. He had left for Ohio 20 minutes before.
It would take them most, if not all of the day to get all eight and get them
back to the school. The plan was not to tell them that they knew the kids
were mutants till they were all together. (All their parents knew the school
was for mutants.) Then they'd tell them about the X-Men, and how one day they
could join them. And how they were to become Generation X. If they didn't
want that, they could be taken to the next plane or train or bus home.
The future of the world was counting of the chosen eight. Jubilee silently
prayed that they all would say yes and want to help as she got on a train to
Faith Goldenberg.
