A knock on the door startled Jonothan Starsmore, better known as the mutant Chamber. To his knowledge, they weren't expecting anyone and the intruder alarms hadn't gone off. Probably just a stray branch or something. He opened the door and looked out. No one was there. He shrugged and shut it. There was another knock on the door. He opened it again. If this was one of Angelo or Everett's tricks, they were in for it. "Pardon me." A bass voice said from below him. Jono looked down. 2 white lab mice standing on their hind legs, a tall skinny one and a shorter one with a big head stood there. "We had an unfortunate accident just down the road from your establishment and were hoping we could use your phone to call for assistance." The big head one said politely. *Who're you?* He asked, puzzled. Since joining GenerationX, he'd seen many unusual things, but this was fairly new. "Poit! Well, my names -agh!" The shorter one bopped the taller one on the head with a fist. "Excuse the interruption. We are 2 genetically engineered lab mice on a quest to take over the world." The shorter one said calmly as the tall one laughed and rubbed his head. Jono debated on letting them in for a moment and decided against it. He didn't really feel like having to explain this to either of the headmasters. He shook his head. *Sorry, Gov. School's rules and all. You might want to try the gas station down the road a bit.* He motioned toward Tim's gas station a few miles down. The big headed mouse nodded. "Right. Well, thank you anyway. Come, Pinky, let us be on our way." "Narf!" The skinny one said, following the shorter one down the path back to the road. Jono watched them go, as much to make sure they made it to the gate as much for curiosity's sake. "To imagine it, Pinky. Our quest to take over the world coming to a screeching halt just because we cannot use the pay phone!" The big headed one sulked as they disappeared from view. Jono shut the door behind them, shaking his head. Maybe it would be better not to mention this to anyone else... Finis
